Salts continued their excellent start to the season with a 3-1 win over struggling Lepton Highlanders, writes THOMAS RITCHIE.

Luke Lavery, Tom Hickey and Richard Magson were on target for Salts, with Tom Mitchell scoring a penalty for Lepton in response.

Golcar United are still unbeaten after Callum Meade fired them to a 7-2 win at Wibsey. Meade hit five goals, and Jonathan Newiss also hit a brace for Golcar, with Daniel O’Donnell and Joe Brooksbank scoring for the hosts.

Route One Rovers kept the pressure on the top two as they hit Wakefield City for five, as Waheed Khan and Awais Khan both scored twice and Hasan Ali also netted.

Littletown missed the chance to move above their opponents as they lost 4-1 to Steeton. Andrew Bates scored twice as well as Sam Rooke and Stephen Pearson, with Kieran Senior on target for Littletown.

DRAM Community moved above Thornton United with a 2-1 victory courtesy of goals from Tebo M’Pala and Darius Matheson. Danny Walker netted for Thornton.

Division One leaders Ovenden West Riding were held to a 1-1 draw by Steeton Reserves. Golcar United Reserves thrashed TVR United 10-4. Danny Hussain hit a hat-trick for TVR, overshadowed by Golcar’s Gavin Armitage, who found the goal on four occasions. John Carrington also bagged a hat-trick for Golcar.

Salts Reserves maintained their undefeated start with a 5-3 success at home to Unita while West Horton and Tingley Athletic drew 2-2 as Theo Bujia and Fabian Evans scored for West Horton. Tingley hit back courtesy of Jermaine Savery and Simon Green.

Lewis Heeley’s hat-trick saw Hunsworth defeat Bradford FC 4-2. Alex Gaunt also found the target for Hunsworth, with Wayne Sparks and Jabyal Malik scoring for Bradford.
