The Whites will be looking to build on Sunday's epic 2-1 victory at home to Norwich City in which Joe Gelhardt struck a 94th-minute winner, just three minutes after Kenny McLean's strike had cancelled out Rodrigo's opener.

The triumph ended a run of six-straight defeats and put 16th-placed Leeds four points clear of the drop zone but with second-bottom Burnley who are five points adrift having two games in hand.

Wolves, meanwhile, will be seeking to land a third win on the bounce on Friday evening having followed last Thursday's 4-0 victory at home to Watford with Sunday's 1-0 success at Everton.

Good morning! 10am start

Jesse will be with us at 10am. We will have all the main news straight away here followed by a full transcribe of every word said.

Jesse Marsch on team news - and the under-23s win against Manchester United under-23s

“Junior has an MCL. They think it’s not so bad, it’s a little bit lighter Grade Two so from the date of injury they think maybe three to five weeks. Tyler had a successful surgery which we already talked about. Liam and Kalvin are fully in training and are eligible for this weekend so we will make a decision today exactly what we do with that and what the plan will be. Joffy has a little bit of a back issue, that’s why he didn’t play in the 23s game and we think that he will be ready for the match but we are not totally certain. Lewis Bate and Jamie Shackleton both picked up injuries in that match (the 23s game) so they might not be available and Leo is actually doing quite well and we are hopeful that next week or at the end of next week that he might be in training so that will be important for us, to have another option in the back. I will just quickly reference the 23s match against Manchester United. I thought it was a really good game for a lot of our guys. We are trying club wide to slowly implement a new playing style and have it be put to practice at all these games and I thought that the 23s showed a lot of aggression, a lot of quality and a lot pf clarity in terms of the way that we wanted to play so Andrew and his staff have done a really good job with that group and we were really happy to see them play so well and get that win.”

On Phillips and Cooper being back - how much of a boost is that?

“I spoke with both of them. Obviously it’s a big boost for those two personally but I think the presence that they have in our team that it’s a big positive momentum swing for us as a group. They are both quality players, they are are both great personalities and I think that it will make a us stronger and stronger. We will see exactly what the plan is and how many minutes they can play and what it will be but just having them back in training is big. It’s big.”

On the transformative effect of that late goal against Norwich - how big was it for the club?

“For all of us, I think there has been a full investment in the transformation of the playing style and having me here. I am very thankful for the team and the club and the fans for how accepting they have been of me. I know that with bad results those things always get stressed and with good results comes a lot of positive support and momentum. It was a big day and a big moment and the key for us is to now use it in every way to make us better and stronger and not just rely on the fact that it was a a good moment. That will certainly be our goal going into this next match.”

Is the disappointing thing no clean sheets?

“Yeah but I think we have been pretty stable defensively. Even our expected goals until the last crazy phase of the game against was really, really low I think, below 0.5. We talked about how disappointed we were from the Villa match, from every perspective and certainly I have to take responsibility for that. We weren’t prepared enough, we weren’t clear enough with how we wanted to play and we weren’t aggressive enough and we looked like it. So we wanted to make sure that having the quick turnaround that we put a totally difference performance together and we were able to so that and now we need to make sure that going forward that we never have another performance like Villa was. It’s a negative reminder but it’s more about a positive response and making sure that we understand mentally exactly how we want things to look on the pitch tactically so that we are continuing to get better every match.”

The Wolves game - is this a chance to put real pressure on the teams around you?

“My focus is entirely on us and every match is a chance for us to show that we are better and clearer and stronger and more ready. The total focus is about development and the process of us getting better. That’s exactly where I am at.”

On Bamford - has he come through the Norwich game okay?

On Bamford: “I think he was a little sore and physically the game was very demanding so I think it was physically and not just with the injury, his entire body continuing to adjust to what the demands are going to be for these upcoming games but he seems to have come out of it in a good way and he should be ready for tomorrow.”

What have you made to Wolves under Bruno Lage? Have they overachieved?

“I think they are fantastic team with some really intelligent players and they are incredibly well coached. I knew that Bruno Lage is a good coach but when I watched their team play I was incredibly impressed in a lot of phases of the game. They defend well, they can move the ball well, they have really good rotations and they have a lot of clarity tactically as how they want to play. This is a big challenge for us but I am excited about the challenge because it will test us in many ways how good we are against the ball and some of our pressing, how much we can control them in the defensive third and then when a team doesn’t give away much. They haven’t given one goal away in transition moments all year and we want to be good in transitions so we know that this will be a difficult task for us and the respect from me for Wolves is massive. We will try to execute a relatively simple and clear matchplan in all phases of the game tat will hopefully be succinct and we know that certainly defending well and not going down in the game because they don’t give much away will be really really important.”

What is your view on the Academy set up and Archie Gray - is he part of the first team set up now or are you happy with him in the 23s?

“I have had to prioritise. We had a really good training session yesterday that was mixed with the 23s and some 18s and some first team players and my goal will be to integrate the entire club into the idea of football that we want to create. I haven’t had the time now but I have tried in little ways to try to sit down with the 23s staff, to work with the players on the pitch to get to know the 18s more and more. We will eventually build out everything so that the unity and the clarity of our coaching team in our club and then our player pool is very clear with who we are and how we want to play and that will benefit everyone. But that will take time and that’s something that I haven’t had a lot of but that will be fully my goal, to have the type of club where everybody is fully connected here, especially here at the Thorp Arch. I know from meeting everyone that there is the type of people here that are fully engaged and want to commit to these things in a big big way which is so exciting for me but I a not able to do as much on that level with engaging everybody quite yet.”
