LEEDS United midfielder Eunan O’Kane has pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad with an ongoing groin problem.
The 27-year-old was due to represent his country in World Cup qualifiers against Georgia next Saturday and against Serbia on Tuesday, September 5.
The midfielder reported into camp with the rest of the Ireland team but has since returned to Leeds due to his ongoing complaint.
O’Kane was troubled by the same injury during his first season at United but the midfielder has began the new campaign in brilliant form, playing every single minute of all five of United’s league games.
O’Kane spent nearly two months out with a groin strain last winter.
