WINGER KEMAR Roofe lost a tooth and striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga lost a shin pad as Leeds United lost further ground to the Championship play-offs in Saturday’s derby day defeat at Sheffield United.
Roofe went to the ground after a challenge in the 27th minute and the Whites wide man was eventually substituted for Pablo Hernandez shortly before half-time.
The former Oxford United player appeared to look concussed and Whites head coach Paul Heckingbottom revealed after the game that the 25-year-old had seen one of his teeth knocked out and was taken off due to side effects thereafter.
“He knocked his tooth out and started to feel light headed,” said Heckingbottom.
Oddly, Whites striker Lasogga also lost one of his shin pads during the game though the missing item of kit appears to have been handed to a visiting fan.
A disgruntled Lasogga was seen searching the Bramall Lane pitch in front of empty stands following the full time whistle and the German forward then took to social media to explain what he was missing.
Accompanied by a picture of his specially made shin pad, Lasogga Tweeted: “Lost this after the game today. Somebody has picked it up, if you could kindly return it please I would be very grateful as it has a lot of personal detail on it. A signed shirt for you when it returns. Thank you”
Lasogga’s Tweet was then replied to by Whites fan and Twitter user Keely C-Fletcher who said: “The ground staff gave me it. Will arrange to return it to you.”
