But was there another Yeboah strike that was even better?

Ghanaian forward Yeboah only spent two and a half years with Leeds whom he joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 1995 but two of his goals in particular will forever be etched on the beautiful game.

The striker netted an absolutely blistering volley that crashed in off the crossbar against Liverpool to seal a 1-0 victory at Elland Road on August 21, 1995 and less than five weeks later he was at it again with a stunning strike as part of a hat-trick in a 4-2 win at Wimbledon.

With Leeds 2-1 up, Yeboah controlled a headed clearance with first his chest and then his thigh before turning inside and unleashing an absolute rocket that followed the same path as his Liverpool strike by flying into the net off the crossbar.

Twenty five years have passed since yet the debate still continues as to which strike was better.

Leeds has a fantastic story to tell - and the Yorkshire Evening Post has been rooted firmly at the heart of telling the stories of our city since 1890.
