Thrifty Leeds United super fan creates incredible themed bar in garden
and live on Freeview channel 276
Darren Powell, 35, decided to ditch the fish pond in his garden and replace it with an LUFC themed pub in his garden - which he poignantly named 'Gary Speed Bar' in memory of the Leeds United legend.
Darren and his dad Dean sourced a range of materials from friends and family - keeping the cost for the entire bar at a shocking £100.

Darren has now explained to the Yorkshire Evening Post how he did it.
He said: "During lockdown me and my dad Dean Powell thought it would be a great idea to get rid of the fish pond and make it into a Leeds united bar.
"We called it the Gary Speed bar.
"All the wood was free from a friend of mine so we put the frame up round the breeze blocks and painted it blue and yellow and made a frame for the television.

"Even the bar stools were free as I was gifted them from a friend who owns a pub."
Dean made a 'Marching on Together' sign to put above the bar.
Darren, from Wakefield, added: "We also added some scaffolding poles with Leeds flags flying high."

Altogether, Darren claimed the bar had lost less than £100 - with the main purchases being a mirror and beer mats.
He said: "It's been amazing watching the football throughout lockdown to now in our Leeds bar and we will keep on adding to it over the next few months.
"I am a member at Leeds and go home and away every season.
"I have been missing the football big time but the lads are doing us proud at minute."
