LEEDS UNITED have added a third friendly to their pre-season tour of Austria - against the side who they look set to beat to the signing of Samuel Saiz.
Spanish club Eibar will provide the opposition at the end of a three-match trip to Austria next month in a match which could see Saiz line up against them.
Eibar appeared to be on the verge of signing the Spanish midfielder earlier this month but Leeds are closing in on a deal to take him from SD Huesca and are working to finalise a deal before the end of the week.
Thomas Christiansen’s squad will meet Eibar on Sunday, July 23 (5pm ko local time). They were already lined up to play German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on Thursday, July 20 (2.15pm ko local time).
The first match of the tour will take place against Germany’s FC Ingolstadt and has been moved forward by 24 hours to Sunday, July 16 (5pm kick-off local time).
That fixture was originally scheduled for Monday, July 17 last week.
United’s meetings with Eibar and Ingolstadt have finalised a six-game programme for new head coach Christiansen. On top of those matches, Leeds will stage a behind-closed-doors friendly against Harrogate Town at Thorp Arch next Wednesday.
Leeds’ clashes with Ingolstadt and Monchengladbach take place at the Kufstein Arena in western Austria while their game against Eibar is due to be played at Jenbach Stadium near Innsbruck.
