The best England XI from Leeds United's Three Lions players past and present at Elland Road

An England team made up purely of Leeds United's Three Lions representatives past and present would be a dream. Well, we've given it a go...

Gareth Southgate will see his squad begin their Euros on home soil at Wembley stadium on Sunday afternoon.

England host Croatia in Group D of the delayed tournament in the capital in the 11-city competition.

Elland Road midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been included in Southgate's 26-man strong squad and is the sole Whites representative for the Three Lions.

"I'm very excited," Phillips said of his call-up last week.

"When I got told I was in the squad the initial reaction... I was overwhelmed. I'm very proud. The messages on social media from Leeds fans, my family and not even just Leeds fans but fans from other clubs too.

"It's a really nice feeling. I'm very proud to be in the squad."

Phillips became the 32nd Leeds United player in history to earn an England call-up whilst on the books in West Yorkshire.

The Thorp Arch academy product is the first player to go to a major tournament as an LS11 employee since the 2002 World Cup.

United have produced a number of home internationals over the years from Nigel Martyn in goal to Jack Charlton at the back and Alan Smith up front.

We've trawled back through the history books to put together an Englandstarting eleven and substitutes made up of players who represented the Three Lions as a Leeds player.

Our formation - 3-4-1-2 - brings the most balanced line-up whilst bringing quality across the pitch from some of the best Leeds teams.

There a some names unlucky to miss out altogether while others who have made the bench could easily start on another day.
