The wide man played a key role in the Whites’ rampant 5-2 win at Elland Road, scoring a screamer and assisting another as Marcelo Bielsa’s men returned to winning ways against the Magpies.

The goal was Harrison’s second of the season, and first since the opening day against Liverpool.

As for the assist, the 24-year-old has now notched up three in the top flight since the beginning of the campaign, and Morrison was suitably impressed with his contribution against Steve Bruce’s side.

"Harrison is a very good player”, the former Crystal Palace told Sky Sports News’ Soccer Saturday.

“You see his assist for Rodrigo [in midweek]. He’s brilliant.

"He’s such an important player for Leeds – his work rate and his tracking back.

"It’s his goal at the end when they’re winning, and he just breaks. The pace that he breaks – most managers would say, ‘Run it into the corner’, but Jack Harrison goes, ‘I ain’t running it into the corner. Let me show you all my quality. Have some of this’.

"He basically picks it up, and I’m thinking, ‘Are you going to play it to the boy on the outside?’. No he doesn’t, thanks for coming, top corner. It’s a fantastic finish.

"He's been brilliant since he came to Leeds. Full credit to them, Leeds have been brilliant, but that was terrific play from Jack Harrison.”
