Phillips missed Saturday's 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town through a one-match ban served for amassing five yellow cards before the cut off date but the 24-year-old returns straight to the side in the holding midfield role.

Arsenal loanee and England under-21s striker Eddie Nketiah again has to make do with a place on the bench where there is an appearance for young defender Pascal Struijk who replaces Olly Casey after his Whites debut as a late substitute at Huddersfield.

With Alioski dropping out, Leeds are most likely looking at a back four of Gaetano Berardi and Ben White at centre back with Stuart Dallas at left back and Luke Ayling moving to right back.

Skipper Liam Cooper (calf strain), Adam Forshaw (hip), Tyler Roberts (groin) and Jamie Shackleton (muscle) all remain out injured.

Hull boss Grant McCann has named an unchanged side which includes 14-goal Jarrod Bowen on the right flank.

Leeds United: Casilla, Ayling, White, Berardi, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Hernandez, Harrison, Costa, Bamford. Subs: Miazek, Douglas, Struijk, Alioski, Gotts, Clarke, Nketiah.

Hull City: Long, Elder, De Wijs, Burke, Lichaj (C), Da Silva, Batty, Irvine, Grosicki, Bowen, Eaves. Subs: Ingram, Tafazolli, Honeyman, Bowler, Kingsley, Pennington, Lewis-Potter.

Referee: David Webb.
