Stuart Dallas on why Leeds United's clash at Cardiff City is not about revenge

STUART DALLAS says Leeds United are focused on another three points and not exacting revenge in Sunday's Championship clash at Cardiff City.

United looked certain to net an eighth-straight league win when racing into a 3-0 lead against the Bluebirds in December's reverse fixture at Elland Road.

Cardiff, though, somehow fought back to leave with a 3-3 draw despite finishing the game with ten men following Sean Morrison's dismissal with four minutes left.

The draw proved the start of a hugely frustrating run for Leeds who followed seven consecutive league wins with five defeats, four draws and just two wins in their next ten games.

That sequence saw United's cushion in the division's automatic promotion spots slashed from 11 points down to goal difference but the Whites have again pulled away to sit top of the table and seven points clear of third-placed Fulham.

Sunday's trip to ninth-placed Cardiff is next but Dallas says there are no thoughts about righting the wrongs from December and only continuing Leeds United's march to the Premier League.

"It's not about settling a score, it's just about going and winning the game," Dallas told the YEP.

"We know what's at stake, we know how hard it is going to be and it's up to us to go and perform how we know that we can and if we do that I am more than confident that we will come away with a result but we are under no illusions how hard it is going to be."

Cardiff have only lost four league games since Neil Harris took charge and the Bluebirds are only two points off the play-offs.
