Stuart Dallas wary of Chelsea threat but knows Leeds United can match Frank Lampard's men

Stuart Dallas believes Leeds United can more than match Chelsea this weekend but says Marcelo Bielsa's men are wary of the threat the Blues possess.

The Whites travel to the capital on Saturday night in Premier League action as Frank Lampard locks horns with Bielsa once again.

It will be the first top flight meeting between the pair after the former swapped Derby County for Stamford Bridge two seasons ago.

United are flying high and full of confidence heading into the fixture following an impressive 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park last week.

Chelsea, though, are unbeaten in 15 games across all competitions and sit third just two points from the summit of the Premier League.

Dallas - who has featured in all 10 of United's league games in various positions this season - has admitted he and his team-mates are looking forward to the clash in West London.

Leeds are still finding their feet amongst England's elite after 16 years away, but have ruffled a few feathers under the guidance of Bielsa so far this term.

"This is why we play the game. This is what we want to do," Dallas said ahead of kick-off.

"We want to play on the biggest stages. We have the opportunity to go to Stamford Bridge and play against a very, very good team in Chelsea.

"These are the games you want to play in. It's important we go there and try to put on a performance.

"It's important that we just concentrate on ourselves and go there and try and put on as good a performance as we can.

"We know that if we're on it and do what we trained all week to do then we'll be a match for them.

"We don't underestimate them. We know their quality and what they'll bring to the game. We know how hard it is going to be."

Asked about whether the key was to take confidence from other games this season, he added: "It's important, but it's important that we also don't get overconfident.

"We've seen in previous games gone by that we have a good performance and the next performance isn't as good.

"It's important that we continue to believe in what we're doing. We can take confidence from the last game [Everton] but we can't go down there thinking we've just got to turn up and we'll get a result.

"That's not the way football works. We have to be on it from the first whistle and the rest will take care of itself."
