Stuart Dallas believes Leeds United must back up a good performance at Liverpool with a positive result against Fulham this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa's side fell to a 4-3 defeat at Anfield last Saturday on the opening day in a thrilling encounter with Jurgen Klopp's men on Merseyside.

Leeds, though, now face last term's fellow Championship promotion winners in LS11, with United utility man Dallas hoping that momentum can be carried through.

"It'll be nice to get our first home game in the Premier League albeit without fans," Dallas said.

"Coming up against Fulham, after last weekend [against Arsenal] they'll want a reaction.

"We know how good they are. They had a fantastic season last year. They came here just after lockdown and we beat them 3-0, but it wasn't a fair reflection I don't think.

"First half certainly they were the better team. We know what they're about. They have a manager in there who knows the game. He's a good manager and he's made big changes.

"We're expecting a tough game, probably harder than Liverpool.

"For us, it's just about preparing right and doing everything we can in training to put ourselves in the best place possible come Saturday."

Asked about the defeat to Liverpool, he added: "It was a great game, the scoreline reflected that.

"For us it was one of disappointment. We held them for so long, so to concede late on was disappointing.

"We maybe deserved a point but that's football. That's why they're the best. They keep working and grind you down. There were lots of positives to take out of that performance.

"It's important we don't get carried away with it either and listen to all the press and good things that have been said. That means nothing if you don't go out the next game and get a result.

"We welcome Fulham on Saturday and these are games we have to win. That's no disrespect to them, they're probably saying the same thing.

"In the Premier League if you take your eye off the ball you get punished."
