Stuart Dallas on seeing another side to Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa amid promotion celebrations

Stuart Dallas says it has been brilliant for Leeds United's players to see another side of Marcelo Bielsa, calling the Whites head coach a legend for delivering promotion.

United confirmed a return to the Premier League late last week for the first time in 16 years since the club's relegation from the top flight in 2004 amid financial turmoil.

Leeds lifted the Championship trophy on Wednesday night at Elland Road as they brought days of wild celebrations to an end with silverware.

Marcelo Bielsa had joined the players at the club's home ground last Friday evening after their spot amongst England's elite was confirmed without kicking a ball as West Brom dropped points at Huddersfield.

Videos on social media emerged showing the Argentine boss embracing his playing squad and dancing in jubilation in the East Stand boxes after two years of hard work in West Yorkshire came to fruition.

The 65-year-old also joined United's players in lifting the trophy in LS11, and was a departure from the usual reserved figure fans have become accustomed to since his arrival.

“It was nice to see that side of him," Dallas reflected.

"Over the last couple of years you do see a different side to him when things are going well, but to see the emotion in him as well was amazing.

“You know, what he has achieved here is unbelievable, he’s a legend really.

“He enjoyed himself and I’m sure he’ll continue to enjoy himself as well.”

Asked about the celebrations last week, he added: "We’d come together to watch the game.

“Everybody was together at Elland Road and if I’m being honest we didn’t expect the result, we expected West Brom to win, but we just wanted to be together to watch it.

“The longer the game went on you could see there were more fans starting to turn up outside and obviously when Huddersfield scored the second goal the place just erupted! It was just incredible.

“It was so nice to be there at the time and to experience it was something that will live with us forever.”
