The former Arsenal and Sunderland youngster did indeed pick up his fifth yellow card of the Premier League 2 system against Burnley last Monday but the cut-off date for suspension had already passed.

When a player hits five yellows it generates a letter to his club notifying them of his suspension, but Leeds were able to point out that Greenwood had only taken four cautions before the December 31 cut-off date.

The FA acknowledged the error in writing, meaning Greenwood is indeed available to feature in this afternoon's game against Stoke City.

Greenwood, 18, has scored seven times in PL2 action this season since arriving at Elland Road from the Gunners.

His first team debut came in the Whites' FA Cup exit at Crawley Town, when he came off the bench as a second half substitute. A day later he scored the first goal for Mark Jackson's Under 23s in their 4-1 win over Burnley.

He starts up front in a strong line-up this afternoon, alongside the likes of Tyler Roberts, Helder Costa and Kalvin Phillips. Summer signing Diego Llorente also makes his comeback from injury.
