Reading have been handed a timely boost by the return of Jordan Obita and Pele to Mark Bowen's squad ahead of this weekend's clash in West Yorkshire.

The Royals make the trip to Elland Road this weekend in Championship action as they look to make it back-to-back away wins in league outings.

Bowen's squad has been hit by a number of injuries in recent weeks, but the visitors are expected to have midfielders Obita and Pele available for selection.

Ayub Masika, though, is touch and go having missed the last few days of training through illness while Reading have four other senior players sidelined.

"Pele trained lightly yesterday and came through it," Bowen revealed in his pre-match press conference.

"He trained today too, so he's in my thoughts for the weekend - Obita as well.

"Masika - missed the past two days with a stomach complaint so we'll have to assess him and he might miss out.

"[Chris] Gunter, [Matt] Miazga, [Lucas] Joao, [Lucas] Boye are more long term.

"Miazga will be another 10 days but the others are three or four weeks down the line."

Marcelo Bielsa has no new injury worries following last weekend's 1-0 victory over Bristol City in LS11 for the hosts.

United midfielder Adam Forshaw remains the only absentee after he was ruled out for the season following a hip operation earlier this month.
