Mallik Wilks has joined Accrington Stanley on loan until January after agree a 12-month contract extension with Leeds United.
The striker will get his first taste of league football with the Lancashire club having renewed his deal at Elland Road to end of the 2018-19 season.
Wilks, 18, is part of United’s development squad and has been knocking on the door of their first team for the past year.
He made his senior debut for the club as a substitute in an FA Cup defeat at non-league Sutton United in January, appearing just days after the death of his brother, and was named on the bench for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Newport County.

Leeds are in the process of bringing new forwards to Elland Road and landed Jay-Roy Grot on a four-year deal from NEC Nijmegen this morning.
At least one more striker is expected to arrive, limiting Wilk’s prospects of playing this season.
Accrington, who are managed by John Coleman, are sixth in League Two after taking six points from their first three games.
