Preston police troll Leeds United fans following defeat

Have your say

Leeds United fell to a 3-1 defeat at Preston on Tuesday night but that wasn't the worst of it.

The @PNEPolice twitter account poked fun at the travelling fans claiming they had brought 65,324 to Deepdale which, of course, wasn't possible.

Whites fans are renowned for their fantastic away support and have topped the charts in away attendance in the Championship on many occasions this campaign with the police force aiming the light-hearted joke at the travelling fans for that very reason.

There were in fact 3,550 who made the trip over the Pennines to watch Paul Heckingbottom's side fall to another defeat. United took the lead through Kemar Roofe before goals from Paul Gallagher, Sean Maguire and Alan Browne sealed the victory for Alex Neil's men.
