LEEDS UNITED slipped to a third straight loss at Elland Road as Derby County came from behind to record a 2-1 victory.

But in amongst all the doom and gloom come full time, how did YEP chief football writer Phil Hay rate the performances of the Leeds players?

Andy Lonergan - What chance did he have with either goal? Winnall’s first was on a plate and the penalty was taken calmly. Not his fault. 6/10

Luke Ayling - Posted missing when Forsyth disappeared down the left to set up the equaliser and not the first time that has happened recently. 5/10

Pontus Jansson - Not perfect but kept Derby at bay for an hour. Nonetheless, there is some serious weakness growing in Christiansen’s defence. 6/10

Matthew Pennington - One key sliding tackle in the first half and improved on the defeat to Sheffield United but neither he nor Jansson tracked Winnall before his first goal. 6/10

Stuart Dallas - Hard to know if he’s a long-term answer to a problem position but Dallas was pretty steady in an unfamiliar position and gave Leeds a presence on the left. 6/10

Eunan O’Kane - Did a good job of dictating from a deep position but when the bottom dropped out of the performance, control of the midfield was lost. 6/10

Ronaldo Vieira - Set up the attack for Lasogga’s strike with a strong tackle in midfield but the pace of Derby’s onslaught caught up with him. 6/10

Kemar Roofe - Tricky to begin with and made an impact in the first half. Was drifting out of the game by the time Christiansen took him off. 5/10

Samuel Saiz - Yet again, the player making the better parts of the performance tick. Bagged another assist and was above criticism. 7/10

Gjanni Alioski - Livelier than he had been in previous weeks but when the pressure came on, he looked a bit out of his depth. 5/10

Pierre-Michel Lasogga - Took his goal nicely and got about Derby more than he had Sheffield United but his energy dried up. 6/10

Substitutes

Hadi Sacko (for Roofe, 75) - No doubt that he tripped Lawrence but the foul did appear to be outside the box. 5/10

Jay-Roy Grot (for Pennington, 84) - At this stage, doesn’t look like a weapon off the bench. 5/10

Pablo Hernandez (for Alioski, 84) - The closing stages were a mess as deflation set in. Had no chance to change the game. 5/10

Subs (not used): Felix Wiedwald, Conor Shaughnessy, Vurnon Anita, Mateusz Klich.

Referee: Simon Hooper (Wiltshire) - Looked to everyone like he got the crucial penalty wrong. 4/10

Attendance: 28,565
