New date and TV details set for Leeds United's Premier League clash against Southampton at Elland Road
A NEW date has been set for Leeds United's postponed Premier League clash at home to Southampton.
The fixture was initially due to take place on Wednesday, January 20 but the game was postponed in order for Southampton to play their Emirates FA Cup third round tie with Shrewsbury Town.
That left Leeds without a game for nine days but the Saints clash will now be played on Tuesday, February 23 and kick-off at 6pm at Elland Road, screened live on Sky Sports.
That will now mean Leeds taking in three games in the space of eight days, beginning with the clash at Wolves on Friday, February 19.
The Whites will then host the Saints four days later before facing another clash at Elland Road the following Saturday against Aston Villa.
Leeds are back in action on Monday night at home to Crystal Palace, a game which comes six days before the following Sunday's clash at Arsenal.
