Cardiff City head coach Neil Harris says the 3-3 draw with Leeds United last December is one of his 'favourite games' as a manager.

The Whites travel to face the Bluebirds on Sunday lunchtime in the reverse fixture following a three month hiatus of Championship action due to the coronavirus pandemic.

When the two sides came to blows late last year Harris saw his side claim an unlikely point at Elland Road with Marcelo Bielsa's side leading 3-0 until the hour mark.

United let slip a three-goal cushion in frantic fashion as Lee Tomlin, skipper Sean Morrison and Robert Glatzel all struck with the City captain also receiving his marching orders in the closing stages.

Harris is now preparing his side to welcome the Whites to south Wales this weekend as football resumes behind closed doors and says that the result in LS11 is one of his best memories as a head coach so far.

“We have had some great games and some not so good games," Harris reflected.

“To come back from 3-0 down against top of the league and at Elland Road, was great. I saw a lot in my team that day.

“I saw some negatives, like at QPR, but we saw some great things as well.

“I’ve seen so many positives in the group.

“Leeds, this year, one of my favourite games as manager.

“I learned a lot about the group when we went behind. To come from 3-0 down was a huge achievement.

“I wouldn’t say fear, but respect. We have a game plan where we can cause Leeds United problems, that’s for sure.

“You can’t fear anyone going forward. I want to win and force ourselves into the play-offs.

“We have to enjoy every day, every match.”

Asked whether United's five-game winning run before the stoppage will play any part, he said: "No, I think the same for us too, when we were just finding a little momentum and structure in what we are doing.

“The momentum you have on the pitch you carry from game to game, that’s broken.

“That five-game run for them has halted. It’s the same for us, we had a good comeback against Brentford and a win over Barnsley before the break.”
