Newcastle United boss Bruce was involved in plenty of battles against the Whites as a Red Devils defender during the 1990s and the Magpies boss will now face the Whites again next term.

Having sealed promotion as Championship champions, Leeds are finally back in the Premier League after a 16-year absence and Bruce says English football's top flight will be a better place with the addition of the Whites and their "unique" fans.

"For a club of that stature to go 16 years is quite remarkable, a club like Leeds United," said Bruce.

"What has it been? Fifteen managers, umpteen players, I think the Premier League will be better with Leeds in it, especially when supporters are coming back in because they are a unique lot as well who are fiercely loyal to their club.

"I think the Premier League will benefit from Leeds United and for me to say that with my Man United hat on is very difficult."
