Leeds United must not allow Huddersfield Town to hold any belief at Elland Road, says midfielder Mateusz Klich.

Marcelo Bielsa's high-flying Whites welcome Danny Cowley's Terriers to LS11 with the hosts aiming to make it five wins on the bounce in Championship action.

United ran out 4-0 winners over Hull City last weekend, with Huddersfield claiming victory over Charlton Athletic on home soil by the same scoreline.

The two Yorkshire neighbours are enjoying very different campaigns, with Leeds firmly in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League which would bring an end to a 16-year absence from England's elite.

Bielsa's side sit five points clear of third-place Fulham in second and trail leaders West Bromwich Albion by a single point with just 10 games to go.

Town, meanwhile, are four points above the relegation zone in 17th position, but have seen their fears over a drop to League One eased by two wins.

With the visitors hoping to upset their hosts and secure a third victory in as many games, Klich insists he and his team-mates cannot allow Cowley's men to think they can beat them.

"It's always good to win 4-0 away," Klich said over last week's demolition at Hull.

"Especially after the first half, it wasn't great. We didn't play like we'd like to. After three games in a row at 1-0 we wanted more goals, so it's very positive.

"But they [Huddersfield] won 4-0 as well.

"We won away at Huddersfield 2-0 [in the reverse match], so they will come here to try and win the game.

"They need points but we cannot allow them to think they can beat us. It's going to be a tough game. It is a derby game and I can't wait for it."

Asked whether the key to United's recent upturn in form was patience, Klich added: "It's very important because the teams that we play against are waiting for our mistakes.

"They defend in their half and we can't allow any mistakes and let them counter-attack easily.

"Patience is a key word for us I think."
