Speaking in SoccerBible's Q & A takeover with the Polish midfielder, Klich quipped that he himself had been United's best performer at Thorp Arch, until the summer signing of Raphinha.

The Brazilian winger joined Leeds on a four-year deal from Rennes for £17m on October 5 and the 24-year-old has dazzled in training as well as on match days since.

Asked who was the best Leeds player in training, Klich said: "Until the summer it was me but it’s changed.

"It’s Raphinha right now officially.

"His tekkers are unbelievable, he’s a great player and I hope I can play with him for a long time because we’re going to win games."

Klich himself is battling to be fit for Saturday evening's Premier League clash at home to Aston Villa having been forced off injured during the second half of Tuesday's 3-0 win at home to Southampton.

"I'm doing everything to be fit for Saturday because I remember last time we played Aston Villa at home," said Klich.

"It was a good game so hopefully I can play."
