Klich's strike in the 53rd-minute restored United's two-goal cushion after Blackburn's Adam Armstrong had halved the Rovers deficit following Whites strikes from Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips in the first-half.

The victory kept Championship front-runners Leeds six points ahead of third-placed Brentford who eased to a 3-0 success at home to Wigan Athletic and Klich said he expected Thomas Frank's Bees to take 15 points out of a last possible 15.

Assessing the significance of Saturday's triumph at Ewood Park following Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at home to Luton Town, Klich said: "It was very important.

"I prefer to play at the same time so I don't know the results so that doesn't bother me and you can see Brentford are probably going to win everything until the end of the season so we have to be very careful, we have to be very focused and we have to win our own games.

"We have got this far and we are fighting to win our games so we don't have to look at others but obviously you want to look at the table and everyone knows what's going on.

"We are going to fight until the end and in the last five games we are going to try and win all of them because the Luton game can't happen again."

Brentford will have won ten games in a row if taking five more three-point hauls but Klich said Frank's side were capable of doing so.

"I think they are flying right now and I think it's better to think they are going to win," said United's Polish international midfielder.

"It's going to keep us on our toes and we have to be sharp and we have to be focused on every game.

"We cannot think that other teams are going to slip up.

"We have got to win our games and that's the most important thing so I prefer to play at the same time, don't know the results and be focused on our game."
