Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton has pinpointed the threat Leeds United possess ahead of this weekend's Championship clash.

Marcelo Bielsa's side travel to Loftus Road winless in their last nine visits to the capital, losing eight and drawing one of those outings.

The Rs fell to defeat last weekend as Brentford snatched the West London bragging rights while Leeds lost to Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in their own Yorkshire derby.

Warburton, though, has talked up the visitors ahead of the lunchtime kick-off, believing his side are in for a tough test.

“They are physically a very powerful team, they have experienced players and quality across their ranks," Warburton said.

"They move very well, with and without the ball, and they close down the opposition.

“They attack with seven, defend with three, put the pressure on you. We know about Leeds but, likewise, they will know about us and they’ll know that we can create chances.

“We score a lot of goals and we can be very dangerous, particularly at home, and if we take care of the football then we are a very good team.

“They will be keen to put pressure on to stop us playing our game and we’ll be doing the same to them to try and negate their threats.”

He added: "Last weekend’s result [against Brentford] really hurt the players and the staff, and a game like Leeds is the sort of one you want after that type of defeat.

“You want an immediate tough challenge to show the supporters what we are about.

“We have been very good in patches of games this season and it is that consistency that we must have. We had it in the early part of the season and we need it again now.

“No doubt, it will be a very tough test at the weekend. It is a great opportunity for us to show what QPR is all about, in front of a packed stadium.”
