Marcelo Bielsa has talked up West Ham's attacking threat ahead of Leeds United's Premier League clash with the Hammers.

David Moyes' side make the trip to Elland Road on Friday night under the lights in top flight action.

The Whites head into the game after a 3-1 humbling at the hands of Chelsea in the capital while Manchester United defeated West Ham by the same scoreline last weekend.

The visitors to LS11 have made an impressive start to the campaign, winning five out of their 11 fixtures to date to leave themselves eighth in the table.

Bielsa's men are 14th ahead of the busy festive period but are just three points behind the Hammers following promotion last term.

The Argentine head coach is wary of the threat West Ham pose to his outfit, particularly in the final third of the pitch.

Moyes has a number of attacking options at his disposal for the visit to West Yorkshire - including the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Sebastien Haller and summer signing Said Benrahma.

The Hammers early season form has also been maintained amid the loss of key front man Michail Antonio, who continues to battle back from a hamstring injury picked up last month.

“The teams that are stabilised in the Premier League, they have the possibility to correct the aspects that they feel are weaknesses," Bielsa said during his pre-match press conference.

“If a team continues with the same coach then these improvements are more visible.

“What West Ham have, is that they have two players per position in their attacking positions who are similar or of the same quality.

“For example West Ham don’t have in their starting line-up Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio.

“They loaned out Felipe Anderson, this gives you the idea they’re a team that has a good offensive potential.

“They have a structure of seven defensive players which is also very solid.

“They also have a clear view of when they need to attack, defend, and when they need to play, which are all aspects of a good coach.”

Asked about his side's season so far, Bielsa added: "Every performance brings conclusions. It allows you to find out what are the things that need development.

"Also, you pick up the qualities the team can start to use on a regular basis. The game against Chelsea leaves us a scenario where we have various things we can learn from."
