United were left sweating over the fitness of playmaker Pablo Hernandez ahead of the midweek trip to Preston North End on Tuesday night but the Spaniard was passed fit just an hour before kick-off in the 2-0 victory.

The Argentine has now revealed that he has a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the visit of the Owls this weekend barring the ongoing absence of defender Barry Douglas who has already been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury picked up against Millwall two weeks ago.

Kemar Roofe once again stepped off the bench at Deepdale as he continued to step up his comeback after two months on the sidelines but is set to remain on the bench behind striker Patrick Bamford following his return to form with a double in Lancashire.

Bielsa said ahead of the fixture: "Everything is well with every player. This type of situation is nice to have."

The 63-year-old confirmed he will also use the same players that started the fixture against the Lilywhites but failed to disclose whether he could swap formations against the Owls.

Wednesday often play two up front which has seen United switch to a 3-3-1-3 formation away from Bielsa's favoured 4-1-4-1.

Steve Bruce has a few injury headaches of his own as Barry Bannan, Rolando Aarons and Dominic Iorfa all missed Wednesday's last match against Nottingham Forest and will be doubts for the weekend clash with the Whites.

Midfielder Sam Hutchinson was also missing through illness, but is expected to be ready in time for the Yorkshire derby as the visitors continue to chase a play-off spot.
