United produced a fantastic performance on Thursday evening against Michael O'Neill's Potters as a Mateusz Klich penalty followed by goals from Helder Costa, Liam Cooper, Pablo Hernandez and Patrick Bamford took the Whites back to the top of the division.

But Bielsa is warning that Sunday's clash against Steve Cooper's now presents an altogether different test and not one decisively affected by United's display against Stoke.

"Every match is a new story," said Bielsa.

"What happened in the previous game is not definitive for the next one.

"Safety and confidence are not linked 100 per cent with the previous result."

Assessing Swansea, Bielsa warned: "You know that in the Championship every match is different.

"Home or away, or teams that are in the top of the table or the bottom of the table.

"It is very difficult to imagine an easy match for us, it doesn't exist in the Championship."
