Marcelo Bielsa will be without long-term absentee Adam Forshaw at Liverpool this weekend but could call on new signings Rodrigo and Robin Koch.

Leeds travel to Anfield on Saturday evening for their opening Premier League game of the campaign against the reigning top flight champions.

United midfielder Forshaw has been missing for almost a year with a troublesome hip injury which required surgery in the United States in February.

The 28-year-old has stepped up his recovery in recent months as he aims to return to first-team action, but the clash with Jurgen Klopp's men will come too soon.

Bielsa, though, says that club record signing Rodrigo and defender Robin Koch are fit and available but gave no clue over whether either player could be handed their debuts for the Elland Road club.

"They are in very good physical condition ahead of the game," Bielsa told his pre-match press conference.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson returned to training earlier this week but Klopp is yet to give a definitive update over any injury concerns ahead of the game.
