Manchester United v Leeds United team news: Whites the same but FIVE changes for Red Devils

The only change to the Whites match-day squad comes on the bench with teams now allowed nine substitutes meaning places for Helder Costa and Oliver Casey who both missed out altogether for the midweek win at home to Newcastle United.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made five changes to the side that started last weekend's 3-2 win at Sheffield United with Daniel James starting against the side he so nearly joined.

David De Gea also returns in goal, with Luke Shaw, Fred and Scott McTominay also coming into the XI as Dean Henderson, Alex Telles, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood all drop out.

Manchester United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; James, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial. Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Telles, Mata, Matic, Pogba, van de Beek, Cavani, Greenwood.

Leeds United: Meslier, Dallas, Ayling, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips, Klich, Raphinha, Harrison, Rodrigo, Bamford. Subs: Casilla, Struijk, Casey, Davis, Shackleton, Costa, Roberts, Hernandez, Poveda.
