Lunchtime kick off for Leeds United v Middlesbrough clash

LEEDS UNITED’S first Championship home game of the 2014-15 season against Middlesbrough has been brought to a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday, August 16 - with the game to be screened live on Sky Sports.

The game will represent head coach Dave Hockaday’s first league match in charge of the team at Elland Road, with United opening their campaign at Millwall seven days earlier.

The fixture time change follows on from the announcement that United’s A62 derby against near-neighbours Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, January 31 has also been amended to a 12.30pm kick-off on the advice of West Yorkshire Police.
