United took the lead just before the half-time interval from the penalty spot before a stunning second half performance secured a vital three points in LS11.

With the victory Leeds hit top spot in the Championship once again as they leapfrogged West Bromwich Albion and gave themselves a six point advantage over Brentford in third with four games to go.

Cooper, though, says that thoughts have already firmly turned to the trip to Swansea City on Sunday lunchtime with the promotion race in full swing.

"It's definitely up there," Cooper said of the performance post-match.

"It was professional. It was us, it was our identity and the way we play. We enjoyed it - who doesn't enjoy those types of games?

"At the end of the day it's three points and we look forward to Sunday now.

"Obviously everyone is going to say it's a statement, but we're just pleased with the three points. The pressure was on with West Brom and Brentford getting good results.

"It was important we came out and played the right way. I thought we approached the game in an unbelievable way and we scored goals at important parts of the game.

"We created a lot of chances and we've managed to put a few away."

Asked about his goal which capped off a lovely team move, Cooper joked: "Sometimes you just need to put a bit of spin on it and it'll go in off the post!

"It's nice to chip in with a goal. Pablo's pulled it back to me and it's great movement from him and it's just gone it.

"I'm more pleased with the clean sheet and three points."
