Leeds United's Under-23s held by Wolves in Premier League Cup action
The Whites played out a draw in Group H
Leeds United played out a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday afternoon in Premier League Cup action.
Carlos Corberan named a young side for the trip to the Sir Jack Hayward training ground.
The Whites called on goalkeeper Kamil Miazek to keep out early chances for the hosts from Dion Anderson and Benny Ashley-Seal.
For all the pressure the hosts failed to capitalise and it was United who opened the scoring with their first attack of the game.
Mateusz Bogusz drove forward to find Ryan Edmondson in the box with the striker seeing his effort saved before Stuart McKinstry fired the rebound home with a low volley.
Wolves again came forward and Miazek was forced into a brilliant quickfire double save before United doubled their lead on the counter.
It was youngster McKinstry again who burst through the back four and struck at the second time of asking following a strong hand from stopper Andreas Sondergaard.
Wanderers finally got on the scoresheet just before the interval as Ashley-Seal finally got the better of Miazek at the near post.
The game continued in much the same pattern after the half-time break as Leeds were limited in their attacking play by the Premier League 2 outfit.
The hosts finally drew level through Luke Cundle as he tapped in from close range to level up the Group H clash.
It was Wolves who had the best chance to grab all three points late on but goalscorer Ashley-Seal fluffed his lines from inside the six-yard box.
Miazek pushed a low effort out to the forward and he failed to find the back of the net as his cushioned effort flew past the frame of the goal when it looked easier to score.
