'Leeds United will entertain, they'll win games, they'll bewilder you with some of their defending' - Whites tipped to bounce back

Leeds United aren't tired in Ally McCoist's eyes, they're just an entertaining team on a Premier League rollercoaster that will continue to have ups and downs.

The Whites' energy levels were questioned, again, in the wake of Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Brighton. It was a third loss on the bounce for Marcelo Bielsa's men and they haven't hit the net in any of those games.

Former Rangers and Scotland striker McCoist, who commentates on the top flight for Amazon Prime and analyses for talkSport, is unconcerned about the Elland Road outfit, however.

Inconsistency is to be expected from the newly promoted Whites, so a victory for Graham Potter's Seagulls was not a shock for McCoist, given the way they've been playing.

"I don't think they're tired, that's just the way they play the game and that's the way Leeds are going to be," he said on talkSport.

"Would it suprise you if Leeds went out and win their next couple of games 4-2 and 5-3, then get beat 3-0? I just think that's Leeds. That result wasn't a surprise really for me at the weekend. Brighton's form in terms of the way they've been playing has been okay. Clearly they're in an area of the league they wouldn't want to be in. We've sat and spoke about this on many Monday mornings, that Brighton's performances have been better than the results, which is all very fit and well saying that but it's points and results that keep you in the leage.

"That was a big, big three points for Brighton, they've played a couple of games more than teams below them."

Leeds sit 12th in the Premier League after their first 18 games and have built up an 11-point cushion between themselves and the drop zone, where fellow new boys Fulham and West Brom are joined by the struggling Sheffield United.

McCoist predicts Leeds United will remain an entertaining side who take risks that sometimes don't pay off. Ultimately, he sees them staying up.

"I genuinely think they'll be okay, I really do," he said.

"They'll continue in the fashion they are, they'll entertain, they'll win games, they'll leave you bewildered sometimes at some of the defending, with the empty spaces in the middle of the park and the defence but I think that's them."
