Leeds United’s pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach next week has been moved to a new venue in Austria.
The Bundesliga club announced yesterday that the July 20 fixture has been relocated 30 miles from Kufstein to Schwaz in western Austria.
Leeds are due to play in Kufstein against Ingolstadt on Sunday, the first match of their three-game tour to Austria, but will now turn out at the 2000-capacity Silberstadt Arena in Schwaz for their second fixture four days later.
The game in Schwaz is scheduled to kick off at 2.15pm local time.
A third friendly against Spanish club takes place in the town of Jenbach on Sunday, July 23.
Head coach Thomas Christiansen and his squad will head to the continent on Friday after first contesting a domestic friendly at Conference North side North Ferriby United tomorrow night.
Christiansen is in the process of deciding the make-up of his travelling squad with midfielder Mateusz Klich carrying an injury and last season’s top scorer Chris Wood making a late return to pre-season after a spell of international duty with New Zealand.
The United boss is also set to clarify the future of controversial centre-back Giuseppe Bellusci who was involved in a spat with some of United’s supporters during the club’s 5-1 win over non-league Guiseley on Saturday.
