The YEP jury make their predictions ahead to Leeds United’s clash with Peterborough United at Elland Road.

In one of the most forgettable seasons in a few years Leeds will try again to win a home game, a feat not done since Neil Warnock took the reigns of the club. He has admitted that he wished the season was over but the fans still pay for tickets and travel so they deserve better performances than they are receiving for their money. With Michael Brown suspended that may give one or two of the youngsters a chance to impress.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Peterborough United 1

Leeds fans now look at the fixture list in the same way children count down the days to Christmas on an advent calendar. Four more games and this sorry season can be put to rest. The manager has arguably destroyed what little confidence the current squad have with recent comments but few could argue with his sentiments. Elland Road has recently had the drawbridge down, the gates wide open and help yourself signs up and defeat to Peterborough would condemn United to their worst home record since 1947.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Peterborough United 3

It’s now damage limitation for Leeds United in the Championship after soul-crushing defeats against Reading and Derby. After Monday’s display, Neil Warnock promised that many of the squad would be departing Elland Road and the match against Peterborough could be the ideal opportunity for the squad to show they are worthy to wear the Leeds United shirt. Peterborough will provide Leeds with a strong test even though are all but safe from relegation.
Prediction: Leeds United 1 Peterborough United 1

The play-offs seem to have gone but now it’s time to see who really wants to play for the shirt and be in contention for a new campaign next August.
Both sides score for fun and can’t defend for toffee so expect a goal-fest. With several injuries and suspensions there could be a youthful look to the starting side and if anyone dares to think that there’s nothing to play for, just look who’s in the opposition dugout!
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Peterborough United 2

It’s difficult to find the words to describe how bad things have got at Elland Road. If ever there was a home banker, then this would be it but the side look bereft not only of confidence but of any semblance of a game plan. The front six seem to be completely clueless as to their roles in the side, with the team’s two most creative players – Snodgrass and McCormack – also seemingly the only two willing to work. It’s hope rather than belief that sees me plump for a home win.
