Following the midweek results which saw all of United’s promotion rivals slip up, Saturday represents a wonderful oppurtunity for the Whites to stake a claim for second spot. Norwich come to Elland Road on the back of another late, late show against Reading last weekend and we will have to be wary of the threat they pose. Saying that, we’ve just recorded back-to-back wins ourselves and confidence will be high.

Score prediction: Leeds 2 Norwich 1

With a third of the season left fixtures against promotion rivals assume huge significance. Norwich and Leeds are separated by just two points. The importance of the game is reflected by another 30,000+ attendance which is testimony to the enterprising football on show this season, recently epitomised by some outstanding wing play from the enigmatic Snodgrass and dynamic Gradel.

However, the key to success remains our improving defence which will be severely tested on Saturday.

Leeds return to Elland Road hoping to keep a third successive clean sheet and beat Norwich to leapfrog them in the league. This is the time that we need to show consistency in defence and in team selection. I would expect Mr Grayson to be shrewd and bring in loan signings to cover for potential injuries during the run-in. The Canaries have done well this season following promotion from League One, losing just one game in their last five and tomorrow’s clash promises to be a thriller.

Score prediction: Leeds 2 Norwich 0

A bumper crowd is expected at Elland Road on Saturday as United take on the high-flying Canaries. This is a real promotion six-pointer with the top of the Championship getting ever tighter. Fresh from two victories on the bounce, United will be in confident form but need to beware of their opponents’ attack and penchant for scoring late goals.

A tight game, but victory expected.

Score prediction: United 2 Norwich 1

Two of the form teams go head-to-head in what promises to be a blockbuster. United will fancy their chances after two victories and more importantly two clean sheets in the last two games. Norwich are the late-goal specialists so it is vital that we establish a good lead so that they can’t nick something at the death. Norwich’s influential captain Grant Holt is their main threat so I’d like to see him man-marked. I’m pretty confident that we will continue our promotion-winning form.

Score prediction: United 3 Norwich 1
