RONALDO VIEIRA replaces the injured Pablo Hernandez as Leeds United head coach Garry Monk makes one change to his side for today’s Championship showdown with leaders Newcastle United at Elland Road.

Hernandez has injured his hamstring and looks set to be replaced in the no 10 role by Kalvin Phillips.

Vieira is then poised to partner Eunan O’Kane in defensive centre midfield.

Souleymane Doukara also keeps his place in the Leeds side after starting in the 3-2 win at Norwich City, with Hadi Sacko once again on the bench.

Doukara, Kemar Roofe and Chris Wood will form United’s attack, along with Phillips assuming he plays the no 10 role.

United’s back five is not surprisingly unchanged, wiith Pontus Jansson partnering captain Kyle Bartley at centre-back. Charlie Taylor starts at left back, with Luke Ayling at right back, and Rob Green in goal.

There is no place on the Leeds bench for Alex Mowatt with Matt Grimes preferred instead.

Stuart Dallas also returns to the Leeds bench having recovered from his calf injury.

Leeds United: Green, Ayling, Jansson, Bartley, Taylor, O’Kane, Vieira, Doukara, Phillips, Roofe, Wood. Subs: Silvestri, Cooper, Sacko, Berardi, Grimes, Dallas, Antonsson.

Newcastle United: Darlow, Anita, Lascelles, Clark, Dummett; Colback, Shelvey; Ritchie, Gouffran, Perez; Gayle. Subs: Sels, Yedlin, Mbemba,Hayden, Diame, Atsu, Mitrovic.
