As another player leaves for pastures new it has to be asked if the current regime, including the manager, really have any ambition at all. Now with the captain of the club gone what is left is limited, to be kind. If you ask people for a large amount of money you would think they would try and keep the interest going at least. I’m disappointed in Grayson, he needs to at least show some disapproval at the latest departure. Tough and disappointing times ahead I fear. Prediction: Leeds United 1 Ipswich Town 2

Leeds appear to be putting the finishing touches to dismantling our promotion team of 2009 with captain Howson the latest to jump ship. The argument will rage about the commitment of the club to pay and retain our better players, and the recent transfer policy does nothing to suggest any genuine ambition to make a sustained promotion bid. The visit of stuttering Ipswich provides an opportunity for three points, anything less may see the ultimate change of personnel at the club. Saturday will be a tense affair in the stands as well as on the pitch.

Prediction: Leeds United 2 Ipswich Town 1

Leeds really have to up their A game to start making sure they are in the play-off picture come May. But with events of this week, with Norwich’s bid for Howson accepted, and the lack of impressive performances recently mean United are looking backwards instead of forwards. Having failed to break down 10-man Palace, Leeds now face an inconsistent Ipswich side and they must start the game a lot quicker to help ensure they claim three valuable points.

Prediction: Leeds United 1 Ipswich Town 0

The good ship LUFC sails back into LS11 without it’s captain tomorrow when the Whites take on Ipswich. After an extremely disappointing – and unfortunately utterly predictable – transfer window to date I’m now looking downwards and will sleep better when we reach 50 points. Paul Jewell’s men now boast former United loanee Alex McCarthy in their ranks who will doubtless have a blinder. I expect another home afternoon of frustration with patience in very short supply.

Prediction: Leeds United 1 Ipswich Town 1

United’s match against Ipswich could be a mere sideshow as tensions rise amongst the supporters at the way the club is being run. The seventh anniversary of Ken Bates’ arrival sees United in exactly the same position they were in when he took over in 2005. Only a substantial outlay from the by now impressive war chest which recent sales have generated will appease the masses. And unless United start quickly on Saturday an uncomfortable afternoon lies ahead.

Prediction: Leeds United 0 Ipswich Town 0
