The YEP jury makes their predictions ahead of the clash with Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road.

Following what can only be described as a horror show in Wales, it’s back to LS11 this weekend for a Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers. You could say we owe Rovers following the play-off final defeat three years ago and there would be no better time to do it then Saturday and reinvigorate our play-off bid. I’d like to see Johnson recalled in place of Kilkenny and Parker for McCartney. It will be interesting to see how we bounce back.

As Leeds entertain Doncaster in a must-win game, I pose the question is the left-back position at Elland Road cursed? Since the halcyon days of Dorigo and Harte, numerous replacements have donned the shirt but few have found favour with the Leeds faithful. Pugh, Crainey, Harding, Lowry, Bessone and now the hapless McCartney...
Should we rectify our defensive fragility, the points should be secured provided we wrestle the initiative from another slick passing side.

Three points is the order of the day at Elland Road tomorrow against a Doncaster side who have only won one of their last six. It is disappointing not to see a new arrival in the shape of a midfielder – despite United being linked with a host of Premiership youngsters. I fear if we don’t bring someone in soon it could be a big disadvantage at the most important point of the season. That said, I feel United will want to make amends for the display in Wales and will notch a win.

After another disappointing trip to Wales, it’s back to LS11 for United on Saturday for a derby against Doncaster. Sean O’Driscoll’s men have been struggling this season but will be buoyed by their midweek victory at Pride Park. Like Swansea, Doncaster are known for their fluid passing style and like many others before them, they will undoubtedly raise their game at Elland Road. United should be boosted by the return of Bradley Johnson and a much- improved performance is required in a must-win game.

Two points from three games isn’t the form of a genuine promotion-chasing team, yet sadly that is the record we take into a must-win encounter against a confident Doncaster team after a good win at Derby in midweek. I imagine Bradley Johnson will come straight back into the team which will improve things. However, I feel some of our key players are in need of a rest – Howson, Becchio and Snodgrass have all been underperforming in recent weeks.
Score Prediction: Leeds 3 Doncaster 1
