Kent spent a full season under the tutelage of former Barnsley boss Heckingbottom when on loan at Oakwell last season with the youngster named the club's young player of the year.

After a brief spell on loan at SC Freiburg at the back end of 2017, Kent is now on loan at Bristol City who will visit Elland Road for a Championship clash this Sunday, giving the 21-year-old the chance to come face to face with his former boss.

"He was a fantastic manager," said Kent.

"That was probably my biggest season so far in terms of development.

"He really allowed me to go and express myself and I wish him all the best at Leeds."
