HEAD coach Garry Monk has made seven changes to his Leeds United side for tonight’s visit of Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup third round.

Captain Liam Bridcutt again misses out for the Whites after picking up a foot injury and Liam Cooper will don the skipper’s armband after coming in for Pontus Jansson at centre-back. Jansson is struggling with illness.

Lewie Coyle also comes in for Luke Ayling at right back while there are three changes in midfield with Kalvin Phillips, Alex Mowatt and Kemar Roofe coming in for Pablo Hernandez, Stuart Dallas and Hadi Sacko.

Upfront, Marcus Antonsson also takes the place of Chris Wood while Marco Silvestri starts in goal instead of Robert Green.

Midfielder Matt Grimes comes in out from the cold to take a place on the substitute’s bench, alongside Tyler Denton, Wood, Dallas, Hernandez, Ayling and Green.

Bridcutt and Jansson miss out altogether, as does Gaetano Berardi who is back in training but not match ready.

There is no place on the bench for Sacko who looks to have been rested.

Souleymane Doukara, Luke Murphy and Toumani Diagouraga miss out altogether.

Leeds team v Blackburn: Silvestri, Coyle, Cooper, Bartley, Taylor, Vieira, O’Kane, Phillips, Mowatt, Roofe, Antonsson. Subs: Green, Ayling, Denton, Grimes, Hernandez, Dallas, Wood.
