Leeds United urged to table £15m striker bid, Erling Haaland told to join Whites, Marcelo Bielsa signing tipped to leave

There has been rumour after rumour for Leeds United during this international break so far – and today is no different.

Whites director of football Victor Orta is planning for this summer’s transfer window and a number of outlets are keen to predict who is on the Spaniard's list of targets.

Liverpool striker Divock Origi was linked with a move to Elland Road via Spanish publication El Gol Digital, who claimed the 25-year-old could be available for around £15million.

Noel Whelan clapped eyes on the report, and has encouraged his former club to make a move.

He told Football Insider: “I think we’ve got to keep our options open. Divock Origi for £12-15m, would you turn your nose up at that? No, you wouldn’t.

“He can play a number of roles, left side, right side, through the middle. You’ve got to look at these things seriously. It’s not a lot of money. It’s so cheap. You could maybe go out and get two strikers if he’s available at that price.

“We need options, especially attacking ones. We know Bielsa likes players who can be versatile and we know Origi is that.

“Like a potential Harrison deal, it’s not much of a risk. You’re not breaking the bank and you know what you’re getting. He knows the Premier League.

“He’s a good age and we play a style of football that will suit him because it’s similar to Liverpool’s.”

Meanwhile, former Scotland international Alan Hutton has tipped Helder Costa to join a promotion-chasing Championship club this summer.

It has been suggested that the winger could depart at the end of the season after falling down the pecking order in West Yorkshire.

He said: “If he sees an opportunity to cash in, I think they can still make some money off him. There’ll be a lot of teams, especially high Championship teams, that will be interested.

“He’s definitely got that X factor on his day so I understand what they’re thinking. If there’s money there to then reinvest in the squad, I’m sure they’ll want to do that and improve.”
