Leeds United’s Under-18s will meet Manchester City in round four of the FA Youth Cup after a dramatic victory over Brentford.
United lined up a meeting with City’s expensively-assembled academy side by emerging from a five-goal battle in London last night.
A frantic finish saw substitute Tyla snatch a 3-2 win seconds after Brentford had equalised for the second time.
Earlier strikes from Leeds pair Mallik Wilks and Henry Rollinson were cancelled out by Kyjuon Marsh-Brown and Zach Birse but Bell’s finish from a Matty Downing cross forced United into round four.
Leeds will now host City - last season’s beaten Youth Cup finalists - at Elland Road on a date to be decided.
The Manchester side lost 5-2 on aggregate to Chelsea in the 2015 final in April and are widely tipped to reach the latter stages again.
City are currently joint top of the Under-18 Premier League North Division.
