The North Macedonian signed on a four-year deal when he joined from Swiss side FC Lugano in 2017 – which is due to expire in June.
Indeed, there have been suggestions the 29-year-old is firmly on the radar of Turkish giants Galatasaray, though no announcement over his future has been made.
Discussions have taken place with Alioski but no agreement has been reached, casting doubt over another season or two at Elland Road.
Kevin Phillips, the former Sunderland striker, believes it’s time Leeds and Alioski parted ways.
He told Football Insider: “They’ve had their time together, Leeds and Alioski. It’s time for the club and the player to move on.
“He’s been a good servant. He’s played at left-back at times this season and that’s not his position so he’ll probably go somewhere where he can play in that natural role.
“It’s the right time for Leeds to free up a wage as well and that will help them to bring someone else in during the summer.
“You shake his hand to say well done and thank you for your efforts and both parties will move on.”
In terms of potential incomings this summer, AZ Alkmaar midfielder Teun Koopmeiners could perhaps be an option.
In September, a report from the Daily Telegraph claimed Victor Orta was interested in the Dutchman as potential competition for Kalvin Phillips.
Now, The Athletic claims the 23-year-old is ready to leave the Eredivisie side this summer, though he will not come cheap due to interest from "several Italian clubs".
