Leeds United transfer news: Whites to turn down interest for key man, Serie A midfielder linked

Leeds United will be looking to round off a solid return to life in the Premier League when they face West Brom on Sunday.

The Whites are now guaranteed a top half finish following their 2-0 win over Southampton in midweek, and will be hoping to give supporters a show as they make a long-awaited return to Elland Road too following a considerable period of absence as a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic.

It will be an emotional day in LS11, with promotion heroes Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi set to bid farewell to the club as they move onto the next chapters in their careers this summer.

"When I came I remember knowing it was to a big club in England, but for different reasons in the last years could not be in the Premier League, they had a lot of problems," Hernandez said of his departure.

"I couldn't imagine when I arrived that I could feel this from the fans, it's unbelievable. I think when they see I give my best, 100 per cent every day, they love this type of player.

"This is the end of my way here in Leeds after five years but I am very happy with what I've done here, what I've done for the club and what the club and these fans have done for me.

They have one more fan in Spain and I continue following this club, I'll watch the games and try to support this team for the rest of my life."
