Leeds United transfer news: Whites target free to leave current club, Orta opens talks over summer move

Leeds United go into Saturday afternoon’s clash against Brighton hoping to reinforce their top half credentials.

The Whites could make it seven games unbeaten in the Premier League if they can register a positive result on the south coast, but will have to perform better than they did in their 1-0 defeat to the Seagulls at Elland Road earlier this year.

Albion were beaten by bottom club Sheffield United in their last outing, and currently sit seven points clear of the relegation zone, but Marcelo Bielsa is still wary of the threat they possess.

Speaking in a press conference during the week, he said: "The results sometimes coincide with the performances and other times they don't.

"Brighton is a team that is unfairly in the bottom part of the table.

"All the parameters you can consider to evaluate a team, how they attack, how they defend, which place on the pitch they spend more time, the possession, the losses of the ball or keeping possession, their offensive intensity: all the values in which you can analyse, they all position them in a higher place than they currently occupy.

"It's a team that transitions from defence to attack and attack to defence very easily. They manage the ball well.

"So these are all aspects we need to take into account to prepare ourselves. And also to look at the things we need to improve and to maintain the things that we are doing well."
