The Argentine winger is currently on the books at Spanish side Sevilla, where he has enjoyed a fruitful campaign so far.
Ocampos has hit seven goals and four assists across all competitions, and Campbell believes that his attacking output could be a massively useful asset for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Arsenal man said: “Bamford has done so well this season but they have been over-reliant on him for goals.
“It’s a big problem for Leeds.
“They need a couple of players who can get in the region of 10 goals a season to help Bamford out.
“Ocampos, now he can score. The amount of chances they create, oh my word, he will have a field day.
“For all of the talent that the likes of Harrison, Raphinha and Harrison have, none of them are in double figures for the season.”
Ocampos' shooting accuracy is 0.2% lower than Raphinha’s this season, but his xG is 0.09 higher per game, as per Wyscout.
Elsewhere, Leeds are said to be keen on signing Barnsley loanee Daryl Dike, according to TEAMtalk.
The 20-year-old American is on loan at Oakwell, and has hit five goals in 11 Championship outings this term.
The Tykes can make his temporary switch from Orlando City permanent for a fee of around £17 million this summer, but it is understood that a host of top flight clubs are also monitoring his situation, with the Whites among them.
