Leeds United team news for Everton clash - Marcelo Bielsa on injury concerns for Rodrigo, Raphinha and Patrick Bamford

Leeds United are awaiting the results of a scan to determine the extent of Rodrigo's groin injury ahead of Wednesday's game against Everton.

The Spanish international picked up a problem early on in Sunday's 3-1 win over Leicester City and tried to run it off before having to leave the game.

Fellow summer signing Raphinha also limped off, in the latter stages, and Patrick Bamford seemed to sustain a knock before the end.

"Rodrigo is having a scan at the moment to evaluate his condition," said Bielsa today.

"He had an action where both feet were very wide apart and potentially the excessive stretch could have caused a muscle injury."

Bielsa said on Sunday that he expected Rodrigo to be out for the game against Everton at Elland Road on Wednesday and while he couldn't confirm the availability of any of the three players, he rates Raphinha and Bamford as far more likely to play.

"The other two cases are less worrying," he said.

"It means that two days prior to a game you can't be sure that any player will be available for the game.

"The only thing to add is that the problem Rodrigo has to overcome to be available on Wednesday is bigger.

"The problems that Raphinha and Bamford have to overcome are more simple."

Rodrigo's early departure meant a return to the midfield for Mateusz Klich, at the King Power Stadium. Both Bamford and Raphinha made significant impacts on the game, the former scoring one and setting up the other two Leeds goals, the latter providing the assist for Bamford's strike.

If Rodrigo remains absent Bielsa can once again count on Klich, Stuart Dallas and Jamie Shackleton if he wants two central midfielders or he could turn to Pablo Hernandez or Tyler Roberts to play the number 10 role. Beyond the current first team squad lies youngster Sam Greenwood who has played in an attacking midfield role for the 23s this season and Joe Gelhardt is another with the ability to feature behind the striker.
